So there's one week left until I leave for Zambia. Everyone keeps asking me if I'm nervous, and I'm sure I am about some things, but I'm more nervous about getting everything done and settled here before I leave. :) I look forward to this adventure and have known for so long that this is what I'm supposed to be doing that it all just feels very natural.
It's amazing how everything has just come together in the last few weeks. I have been blown away by the financial support from my friends and family. Because of them (and those magical plastic cards in my wallet), I was able to get all my medications and vaccines, book flights back home at the end of the summer, and buy all the supplies that I needed. In a very uncharacteristic fashion, I'm even nearly packed already!

Thank you so much to everyone that has been supporting me with finances, prayers, and encouragement. The prayers and fellowship with my good friends from Bay Church tonight did so much for my morale. I feel safe and confident going out into this world wrapped up in their love and in God's hands. I hope that through my work this summer I can be a light, reflecting all the love that has been showered on me by everyone here at home.
